Staff, St. Joseph's Health Centre
Chair, Province of Ontario Medal for Police Bravery Advisory Council

Dr. Asha Seth has been a proud Canadian citizen since 1974. For over thirty years, Dr. Asha Seth has been running her own private practice. It all began with a five year old child's dream to become a doctor. And through hard work and determination, Dr. Asha Seth was among twenty-five women, chosen out of 15,000 applicants, to attend King George's Medical College, in Lucknow, India. After completing her medical studies in India, Dr. Seth decided to move to England to further her career. Dr. Seth was trained at the Belfast University Hospital, the University of London Hospital, and the Queen Charlotte Hospital. The Queen Charlotte is considered to be one of the most prestigious hospitals for Obstetrics and Gynecology, in the world.

After several years in England, she moved to Toronto, Canada, where she was trained at St. Joseph's Health Center and at the Hospital for Sick Children.
She soon attained her own private family practice in Obstetrics and Gynecology. And, over the years, she opened her doors to hundreds of families, and delivered thousands of babies. Her expertise in the medical field goes beyond her office doors. She has become a pioneer in the medical field, saving lives, educating families and youth about healthcare, and offering a caring hand to the sick and needy. During her time in medical school she won first prize for a paper she wrote on Latent Tuberculosis in Indian Women. She was also instrumental in organizing a blood donation clinic for the Indian Army, during the India-China conflict. And so began her devotion to the medical profession.
